UK Visa Process
Pre-Application Process
- 1
Selection & Eligibility
We check eligibility for the required visa and determine whether you meet all requirements.
- 2
Compiling Your Documents
We provide you with a comprehensive list of documents and any templates required for the application. You compile the requested documents and submit them to us for review.
- 3
Finalising Your Application
We review all paperwork and provide feedback. We identify any challenges and advise on how to rectify them, and suggest alternative documents if main documents are not obtainable. Once all documents are in place, we draft the application form and prepare a letter of representation arguing your case in line with immigration rules.
- 4
Application Submission
We finalise the application and, once you are happy with the compilation, submit the visa application online. We provide guidance on paying Home Office fees and the Immigration Health Surcharge (if applicable), and book an appointment at the Visa Application Centre for biometric enrolment. For onshore applications, we scan and upload all supporting documents.
- 5
Biometric Enrolment & Fingerprints
Once the application is submitted online, you attend your biometric appointment at a Visa Application Centre to provide your fingerprints, photo and signature. For onshore applications, we can accompany applicants for their biometric enrolment appointment if requested.
Post-Application Process
- 1
Application Consideration
Your application and submitted documents are assessed against current immigration rules. For standard onshore service, processing may take up to 6 months depending on application type. Standard offshore applications may take up to twelve weeks. Super Priority and Priority services are decided within 24 hours or 5 working days respectively from the biometric appointment.
- 2
Verification & Interview
The Home Office verifies the information and documents you submit. Normally the decision is taken on the basis of documents submitted, but you may be called for an interview.
- 3
Decision & Issue of Visa
Once the application is reviewed and assessed, a decision is communicated to you in writing. If approved, you receive entry clearance (offshore) or a Biometric Residence Permit (onshore). Successful offshore applicants receive a 30-day vignette sticker in their passport for travel, and must collect their BRP within ten days of arrival in the UK. If refused, you receive a refusal notice setting out the reasons.
